Alpine Climbing
The family took a great walk today going on the trail behind the clinic over to the Lower Falls. Then at the Falls Bridge we boulder-hopped our way up to the base, practicing our alpine climbing and bivying techniques. Holden found a few spots for bed that he pointed out to us, and a nice spot for a picnic and then handed out rock sandwiches and rock water bottles. The weather was finally overcast with a tiny, tiny, little drizzle for a brief few minutes in this much needed dry winter.

New Years Day
As Laura posted: What Holden wouldn't wear in 2013, is fair game in 2014. Let's all be purple homemade dragons!
The Red Balloon: A New Years Story in Pictures
Oh New Years at the Lodge- one day it won't happen! But for now, Holden has fun at the kids party that ends when the ball drops at New Years Eve in New York. Then afterwards, it was home and too bed for us this year. 2013 ended with us all asleep by 10:30pm, but we had a grateful and wonderful year. We love everyone and will see you in 2014- and debut a sibling for Holden in March!

XMAS Day
Xmas day at the Renspie's in Yosemite, CA. With all those instruments, Holden was inspired to look like the singer for Simply Red!
Bracebridge 2013
Here are a few of the Bracebridge snapshots backstage of XMAS eve- our last of the 6 performances we were in this year. Last year it was 7 out of 8. The first year it was all of them.
Curry Village Ice Skating
This was Holden's second time at the ice rink. He may have trouble balancing on the ice (as most 2 year old's do), but he can run circles around the matted floor in his skates and he loves it. And he looks good doing it.
Daycare Caroling
Daycare presented a night of singing to us parents, and we were all happy for it.
The setlist:
Rudolph
O Christmas Tree
Jingle Bells (with jingles)
December Snowstorm
We had one snowstorm in December, which was followed by a cold spell for a week. Holden got to suit up and play for several days in the soft, perfect snow. We have to get him in the Patagonia catalog somehow.
November Disneyland
We took a weeklong vacation in Upland the week before Thanksgiving. This also allowed Laura to be back home for her birthday this year. We alst took Holden to Disneyland for the second time this year, and the above snapshots prove it. Look out Disney, we'll be back!
