Visitor Center

Wandered downtown- no where to go but just to hang around.  Clowning around the visitor center on another beautiful fall day in November.

November Faces

The faces.  You gotta love it.

November Stroll

A walk in the park behind the clinic, and towards the lower Falls.  Holden believes in magic, and I can't believe that the first picture captured the acorn in the air- Magic!  In the bottom snapshot, Holden has '64 Bob Dylan hair and knows it.  Enjoy.

Halloween

Once again, Holden says "Happy Owl-O-Ween".  The purple dino costume custom made by Grandma Aileen was a no-go, and too scary.  As a last minute fix we pulled out the costume from 2012 and Holden was happy.   My favorite part of several days was Holden walking outside and looking for "Mr. Bones" from the bottom snapshot.  He would often say "Mr. Bones fell down" whenever the skeleton fell off the branch.  Funny.

October Traintown, Continued

As New Year's approaches in 2 days, I need to make fast work of updating the blog while my memory is good.  Here is a few extra from Traintown during the end of October when we saw Jenny Lewis at the winery.

Sonoma Train Town Sequence

A funny port-a-potty sequence from Sonoma Traintown on Friday, October 25th.  We stayed in Petaluma with Ali, Jason, Gabe & Pipen and took Holden to see Jenny Lewis and Jonathan Rice at the winery the night before.  I think Holden had a fun 3 day weekend away from work.

Daddy's 40th Birthday

October 19th was Daddy's 40th Birthday.  First, he left us at 6am to hike to the base of Half Dome where the cables were laying flat and he was too scared to hand over hand them to the top so he hiked back home.  Then we walked over to the playground where it was really hot and sunny for October and I started to get burnt on my face so we left so I could nap.  At home I fought for a half hour against my nap, then fell asleep so my parents could clean the house for their/my friends to come over and watch the Phish concert on the big television.  We cooked pasta in the oven and someone brought homemade pizzas and Daddy drank expensive wine while Mommy drank water and cleaned up the mess everyone made and I ran around to everyone until I became tired and fell alseep.  I took Daddy's picture to remember it by when I get older.  I liked it good that day!- as told by Holden Porter Renspie.

The Street

Normally you don't let a 2 year old walk along the street and then take pictures and then post them.  But normally the town you live in doesn't become a ghost town for 16 days, with no one allowed in, so therefore no dangerous traffic to be avoided.  Thanks government shutdown and life in Yosemite!

Last Week

Last week, Laura and Holden went down to Upland for the weekend and Grandma Aileen brought them back on Tuesday, October 15th.  We spent a good day walking around the valley while the shutdown kept everyone else out, and Aileen even took the photo of us at the Chapel Tree.  Enjoy some wonderful (and a few overly saturated, highly colorful!) snapshots.

Snow-Line

We came and picked berries and bought lots of good Apples at Snow-Line in Oak Glen, Ca while on vacation for the week.  Holen and Kylie loved picking berries right from the bushes and filling up a few baskets when not stuffing faces.

Disneyland

Holden finally grew to 34 inches and Laura could finally take Holden to Disneyland and put him on some rides.  By Age 3 Laura wants him to be a Disneyland veteran!  It was a fun time and Grandma brought along a lot of the family: Uncle John, Blake, Kylie, Laura, Ron and Holden.
