Father's Day

We had such a great Father's Day weekend at the Huichica Festival in Sonoma, CA.  We got to see my band the Fruit Bats, Jonathan Wilson (who brought out Bob Weir) and Blitzen Trapper, among a few others in a small, intimate setting at a working winery.  Laura, thanks for being there with us and we can't wait to do it again next year.  Holden also got his first Dark Star, which then busted into a great Truckin'.

Tuolomne Today

We had a wonderful day today!  Dad got up at 530am and went to Vernal and Nevada Falls from 6 to 730 this morning.  The whole family had a wonderful breakfast of eggs, potatoes and strawberries.  We then drove to Tuolomne and hiked the first 1.5 miles of the Glen Aulin shortcut and hung around a nice river spot.  We then drove down to the Sunset Magazine famous Lee Vining Mobile station for food.  The headed over to the Mono Cone for some ice cream before heading home.  We listened to new Iron and Wine album, Ani Difranco and most of the first set of the 5-17-1977 Grateful Dead concert.  We were back home by 715pm for a relaxing evening.  Ta-Da!
