The Beginning

Welcome all, Ron and I are doing this for family and friends to be able to check in with us during our journey to parenthood. This has been an amazing time in our lives so far and I can only imagine that the journey will become stranger and more incredible. This all started back in November. I was in Buffalo, NY and could not figure out what was wrong with me, I was dizzy and had jet lag for days. The day I got back home we found out that we were going to be expanding as a family. I was very lucky because my family was coming to visit us in Yosemite for my birthday, an early Thanksgiving. I guess I got the best present of all for my birthday and I had my Mom, Dad, Sister, Brother in law, nieces, nephews, uncle and mother in law here to share the good news with.   The first few months have been very good to us for the most part. I cannot believe how tired the business of carrying a baby is. I have never been more exhausted in my life. I had many days when I would come home from work to fall asleep, have Ron wake me up for dinner, eat and then right back to sleep. Some days I feel like I am losing my mind because if I have not written it down then the chance of me remembering is not so great. I feel like I have been somewhat lucky as far as morning or all day sickness. I had some "fun" with that. Luckily (maybe) I just stayed really nauseous with no follow through for the most part. It was great consistently feeling like I was going to be sick and wondering if and when I was going to have to run. Once I got over that I found that my appetite was great and I could happily eat almost anything like normal again. Thank goodness for small favors. Ron has been pretty amazing through this whole experience so far. He has been making me dinner nightly and letting me just rest when I get home. I couldn't ask for much more from him. He also makes time to go to Fresno with me for all of our appointments and even lets me pick whats for lunch. Soon our little Renspie will be here and I will be wondering where all of the time went. I already feel that this is moving faster than I had expected. We hope to keep you updated once a week or so with what is going on. How we are feeling and what I might be craving. Maybe a few pictures to see how my body is changing and growing and just our thoughts in general. We hope that you enjoy and if there is something you want to know about, you have stories to share or suggestions you have as we get ready for baby well then please let us know.
